Maestro 2 - Apogee Quartet User’s Guide Maestro Low Latency mixing (continued) Figure A To illustrate the effect of latency, Figure A depicts the typical signal path of a vocal overdub session. A vocalist sings into a microphone, which is routed to an analog to digital converter, then to the audio software application for recording. Maestro 2 is Apogee's flexible and powerful OS X Mixer software solution that's included with all Apogee interfaces. Studio master Eli Krantzberg shows you everything you need to know about Maestro 2, as well as how to get the best performance out of your Apogee interface and improve your workflow.
Apogee Maestro is the control application for MFi compliant Apogee audio interfaces. Maestro lets you access and adjust all features and settings from 5 simple tabs. Maestro also significantly improves latency (the delay that occurs during recording) with a hardware based low latency mixer. Most Apogee products that use the Apogee Maestro 2 control application will include a ‘Device ID’ button that can be found in multiple Maestro tabs under a graphical icon for the connected Apogee device. You will usually see this button as an ‘A’. Here is an example.

It not compatible to iPhone X
The upgrade is too slow
Worked once and lightning cable issues ruined it.
Ok...Apogee was my dream converter over UA but now I have lost the confidence necessary to record my music. After it sat in my case waiting to be used a couple of updates to I-Pad Pro and a brand new backup cable for my One on hand in case of another issue I was ready to record....alas now my One don’t work at all and the warranty is out. Almost 400 US for one use and not functioning for my second opportunity I now have zero confidence in Apogee. I will go to UA as it makes no sense to pay for repair and still have no confidence. Real musicians will understand.
Useless for new IPad Pros with USB-C
New iPad Pros will not recognize my ONEv2 or Quartet using the Apogee USB-C cable, and will work fine as an interface, good luck trying to get Maestro recognize the device: it won’t. So, if you care about the settings in Maestro, you are out of Luck with a 11 or 12 inch iPad Pro until Apogee offers a solution.
